Councillor Stuart Bodsworth, Executive Member for Children & Young People, will attend the launch and talk to school meals staff about their tasty school dinners. Also attending are firefighters from Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service, and School Governor Mildred Dooley - Stockport’s longest serving Governor.  They will join Headteacher Maxine Holmes and pupils.

National School Meals Week  is organised nationally by the Local Authority Caterers Association and promotes healthy school meals. A school lunch helps young people to ‘recharge their batteries’ and be at their best for afternoon lessons. Themes this year include: Get eating, Get travelling, Get creating, Get 5-a-day and Get remembering.

All Stockport schools are taking part in the Get Travelling theme on Tuesday 8th November. The School Meals team has created a special menu for the day featuring dishes from around the world.
