Healthy Eating Competition Kicks Off!
Stockport primary school pupils have the chance to win a visit from Stockport County FC players by entering a healthy eating themed competition.
Solutions SK, Stockport Council's wholly owned company has teamed up with Stockport County FC to run the competition which is open to all primary school pupils in Stockport.
The competition asks children to design a healthy, balanced meal for the Stockport County FC players to eat. Entries will be judged by club Manager Jim Gannon, headteachers from participating schools and Solutions SK Group Manager for School Meals.
The prize for two lucky winners includes eating the meals they design with the Stockport County FC team at their schools, a family ticket each to a match at Edgeley Park and a certificate signed by the players.
Details of the competition can be found on the 'My School Lunch' website at www.myschoollunch.co.uk/stockport and competition sheets are available to download and print out from the 'Competition' page of the website. The closing date for the competition is Friday 2nd May.
Copies of the sheet will also be available from Stockport County FC and posters publicising the competition will be displayed in school dining areas giving details of the competition and prizes.
Nic Cox, Managing Director of Solutions SK Ltd, said: "We are delighted to be able to work together with our local football club to emphasise the importance of combining exercise with healthy meals to pupils in Stockport. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership into the future."
