Solutions SK currently have one of the most up-to-date winter gritting operation in Greater Manchester.

With a fleet of nine gritters, we provide the borough of Stockport with gritting services covering. We also provide gritting services to a number of clients for areas such as car parks and office spaces. Weather sensors and computer link-up to the National Weather Centre enable us to plan for gritting and snow clearance, as part of routine preparation for hazardous weather conditions.

All the gritters are fitted with a computerised GPS tracking system, which provides the team with precise information on which routes have been gritted, when they were gritted, by which vehicle and the spread rates being used. The vehicles have a 'low throw' mechanism which means the grit can be spread under parked cars.

This information enables the team to manage the gritting process even more effectively. The gritting vehicles can also be fitted with snow ploughs if required.

We can also provide a grit delivery service for clients whom the gritting wagons may not be suitable.
